Samenwerking met ziekenhuizen

De Universiteit Hasselt gaat in de toekomst samenwerken met het Ziekenhuis Oost-Limburg en het Virga Jesseziekenhuis. Dat kondigde Vlaams minister Ingrid Lieten aan. Daarmee komt een Limburgs universitair ziekenhuis wat dichterbij. "Bedoeling is dat er wetenschappelijk onderzoek verricht wordt op het vlak
van cardiologie, oncologie en gynaecologie. Wetenschappers zullen samengebracht worden met de professoren die in de ziekenhuizen werken", vertelt Lieten. Het project kost vijf miljoen euro en wordt gefinancierd door LSM.
