Company Description
The Institut für Textiltechnik is one of the largest institutes of RWTH Aachen University. The core competencies are the development of textile machines, new materials, new methods for the production of textiles, new textile structures and new products. In the field of biomedical engineering this comprises textile implants, filtration systems and extra-corporal medical textiles. For industrial partners the ITA offers development projects or frame contracts; research in the context of public funded projects; advanced training and workshops which are concerned with textile subjects; creative workshops to find new concepts and ideas as well as patent and literature surveys.
