Delacre was founded in 1870 by a Belgian pharmacist. He was the first to make a combination of a biscuit with pure Belgian chocolate. In 1998, Delacre joined the international group United Biscuits. Its head office is implanted in Grand-Bigard (Brussels), and two production sites in Lambermont (BE) and Nieppe (FR). The site of Lambermont employs 300 workers in low season and 450 workers in high season, including 60 employees.
The company is certified : ISO 9001, ISO 9002, ISO 14001 and HACCP. The production is exported in the EU, in the US and in Canada.In 2005 its turnover reached 150 354 000€ (76 % in the export).
