Company Description
The Biomedical Research Institute (BIOMED) was founded in January 1999 and integrates the expertise of the former Dr. L. Willems-Institute and the research activities of the faculty of medicine of the Hasselt University.   
The main research domains are focused on neuro-inflammatory and autoimmune disease and development of biosensors.
BIOMED offers services and contract research in the fields of molecular biology (incl. forensic DNA analysis), immunology, proteomics, antibody development and clinical studies.
BIOMED is actively involved in academic education in de medical and life sciences.
